Since he was 5 years old, Rob knew he wanted to build things. His Uncle Tom, a respected builder known in Vail, Colorado, Escondido, CA, and eventually on the shores of Lake Guntersville, Alabama, inspired him. Rob started out in construction as a laborer while still in high school, then moved up to carpentry. He pursued Construction Management in college while gaining hands-on experience in the field.

In 1994, Rob moved to Durango, where he joined a well-known builder. He started as an estimator and worked his way up to project management and sales, mastering the business side of construction. After a decade there, he took a bold step and founded Sachs Construction, LLC. For over 20 years, Sachs remains known as a well-respected firm with a solid team of managers and trade contractors, known for honest and fair dealings.

On a personal level, Rob is happily married to Timi Jo and they have two daughters and four grandchildren. They share a passion for travel and cherish their time together with family.
